Cumulus is delighted to see the publication of Seafish‘s new report setting out practical recommendations for the UK fishing industry and Fisheries Administrations to collaborate and create a clearer, more enabling regulatory environment to accelerate the commercial uptake of innovative fishing gear. This report is the culmination of our research into the challenges of trialling modified or new selective fishing gear and then achieving regulatory approval for widespread commercial use. We look forward to supporting Seafish and colleagues across the UK fishing sector on the implementation of the recommendations.
