Economic impact assessment for “Restoration of the Humberhead Peatlands: LIFE+ Project”

The objective of the work was to assess the impact on the local and regional economy of EU LIFE+ -funded expenditure by the Restoration of the Humberhead Peatlands: LIFE+ Project. Building on formative work undertaken in relation to a different LIFE+ Project, the study evaluated the impact of the project on employment and gross value added (GVA). The total impact on the local and regional economy was estimated to be the creation of 77 job years and enhanced GVA of £2.85 million, including all direct, indirect and induced effects.
