The aim of this project was to provide Guiting Manor Farms Limited (GMFL) with an insight into potential diversification opportunities across the farm, in order to assist with bridging the funding gap expected to arise as a result of the anticipated changes in support payments and ensure future, long-term sustainability for the business by diversifying income streams. The project involved the scoping of existing assets and enterprises and producing a SWOT analysis focussed on farm diversification to assist GMFL recognise its internal strengths and weaknesses and key external factors affecting the business. Potential diversification opportunities were shortlisted. The next phase of this project is to carry out further detailed assessments of preferred business opportunities.
