The aim of this project was to provide an assessment of the natural capital assets present across the farm and provide a strategy for how those assets should be managed going forward, in order to meet the long-term objectives of the business. Key risks that may affect the farm enterprises were identified, alongside opportunities to mitigate those risks and enhance the natural capital assets to increase the environmental, economic and social sustainability of the farm. The project also identified any relevant schemes and stakeholders to engage with. It concluded with a natural capital strategy and plan for the farm, including strategic priorities. A carbon footprint of the core farming enterprises was also produced and will be used to help the business understand the climate impact of its activities and develop strategies for reaching net zero.
